my cousin shot himself in the face with a shotgun. he lived, but he'll never be the same. it was pretty fucked up for a while afterwards, they grafted skin from his ass to cover the hole where his right eye used to be (there were ass hairs on his face, I'm not kidding), and they removed the top of his skull so his brain would have somewhere to expand when it swelled. his eye was actually still there afterwards, but he severed all the nerves behind it. basically he missed his brain, but took out his sinuses and half of his mouth, he can't smell or taste..
