Her speech was packed full of lies.

As much fun as poking holes in each others' faith is, I'll just state that I wasn't expecting what Pallin delivered. I figured there was less to her than just being good for the anti-abortion faction (which I'm part of) - but she's got guts.

And if there was ever a scenario where McCain was killed/died/incapacitated - I got to say I'd sleep just fine knowing she had "The big red button" at her disposal. She's smart enough to be where she is, and I don't think she's as much of a wild card as I wrote her off as initially.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Based on a speech that was not written for her? A speech that was initially written before she was even the pick?

          Damn, Ben.

That was a red meat, stir up the base speech, that the staffers sprinkled with Moose droppings . . .

I especially liked the "home made" hockey mom signs that McCain aides made and distributed to the crowd.

I was listening to the words, but you see more watching how something is said than what's really spoken. I see more lies than I hear if I see the politician trying to spin doctor something. Eye contact, body language, vocal inflection. You can coach someone & even write their speech, but you can't fake certain things.

You're the lawyer - you know what I'm saying.

For a deeper dose of what I'm saying - look at OJ Simpson talk about his dead wife. We all know he did it.

I'm starting to see how she got McCain's nod, and it would take a major shakeup to make me see Obama in any other light than as a used car salesman selling "change".

                    But that's just me.

                      I guess it's our own different rose colored glasses . . .

I saw her as just that - fake. Polished, a good speaker, energetic, but full of shit.
