Hayes-Lemmerz, the aluminum wheel producer, is shutting down their plant in my city of Gainesville, GA currently. Total loss of 290 jobs. I personally know three people that worked there, and were making decent uneducated wages of around $35K/year. There goes millions of dollars out of my local economy, out of the country. Their reason for moving was an increased market of imported cheap aluminum wheels, and their relocation to a factory in Mexico.
We need a presidential leader that will create incentives to keep companies like this in our country, to strengthen our economy. Not tax them to the point where they move out and leave American cities and industry with less jobs and decreasing wealth.
