    Congratulations OBAMA wins the Election

Being that most here are Voting Obama and have some strong political in site. I would like to hear your predictions on what he and the Democratic Trifecta will be able to accomplish. As it looks to stand. They will have the majority in the house and Senate. A liberal President, and a chance to appoint 2 liberal Supreme Court Justices to office.

How about a time line on what you feel will get accomplished say with in the days weeks and years they reign in office.

Cover views such as, health care, social security, the economy, domestic and foreign policy. With Foreign policy, a time line on the Iraq war. Afghanistan, Iran, Venezuela, Russia, the growing concern with China and India. Domestically, Big Business, corruption, scandal and government waist. Other things such as energy independence, global warming, and the ailing economy. Cover how they are going to get your views accomplished and what road blocks they are going to face.

Will you rate them as a success or failure and what do you contribute the outcome to. Will this be change you can believe or will the final outcome be that they will point fingers on the Bush administration being to messed up to fix in at least 4 years

Yeah I guess maybe so, I just find it funny that people love to attack with out having any personal backbone. I felt this would give them an option to show just how much they really know and or don't know based on time. Being that here are many threads that have to do with elections and the heated arguments that go on inside, people are really getting into politics. This being an off topic section and anything goes, its understood that its NOT WORK SAFE and people might get their feelings hurt. They also don't have to open the thread because of title or author of the thread. You have been a great sport, but in trying times its nice to get a collective overview of America. And forums such as this get that overview. At the end of the day we are really here for one real reason and thats the love of the E30 chasis. Though I do not agree with several on here, would open my doors to everyone if in need of help. Even corvallisBMW and Lair.

            Thanks for playing

                    V be fishin' now....

If all that is accomplished in the next four years is that Sarah Palin and her War on Intelligence and Scientific Inquiry is kept far from DC, it will still be more good than W was able to accomplish in his last 8.

The rest will be icing on the cake.

Vedubin, it's ok to be a republican, but being a political douche isn't

Stop making politically charged threads and then bitch about attacks. Don't starts none, won't be none. Besides who said Obama wins? Elections are Tuesday. Stop being whiny. If you truly cared about McCain winning presidential elections, you wouldn't spend months on r3v arguing with people who already made up their minds and would try to register undecided voters. Get your priorities straight and stop playing victim.

As a matter of fact, if you're so concerned about Obama winning, pick up his tax-code and start looking for loopholes, it will serve you better.

                        .

If politician view EVER prevented you from an intelligent thought, then perhaps it wasn't intelligent to begin with.

You can't point finger at religious beliefs and say it will dumb you somehow. Scientist are scientists, and they'll do what they're paid to do, private sector will get their money through technological break-throughs.

If you think politicians will somehow instill ignorance into American youth, then perhaps responsible adults and parents should teach their kids about drugs/sex and all other common sense that weak-minded Americans rely on public education system to deliver.

If Obama wants to help the little guy, then I'll just attend college for the next 8 years, pick up few degrees, Ph. D. and move out of the country. Whatever lemons you're given, start planning on lemonade.

Yeah, there will always be criticisms of his presidency, but I gained a lot of respect for the man after watching this interview:

No? How do you explain this embrace of ignorance and rejection of verifiable, observable, repeatable science?
Kids who are sold "I saw and I believed" t-shirts are being instructed not believe the rest of what they are taught. What's next? Water isn't really wet? We are devolving into an ignorant society of people who are dumb enough to believe what they are told to believe, regardless of the source, provided it is couched in religion. And this is becoming mainstream: (a synopsis of an upcoming lecture)

Don’t miss Ken Ham’s dynamic, fully illustrated talk on the relevance of Genesis! In his unique, captivating style, Ken explains why belief in a literal Genesis is the key to reforming the church and reclaiming our culture!

Reclaiming our culture? OUR? You mean the culture of the Dark Ages?

The politicians, particularly the right-pandering GOP members, are legitimizing it. And while there are many, many fine parents out there who understand that school enhances-not replaces-what is taught in the home, many others fail in this regard. I am especially troubled by all this current "Joe the Plumber" anti-elitist sentiment. Don't we want our children to be elite? Bright? Smarter than us? You won't get there in this world by believing in blatant ideology wrapped in pseudo-science.

And to me, right now, no one better represents this problem than Sarah Palin. A woman who claims to have a "Mandate from God". A woman who believes Jesus will return within her lifetime. A woman who believes man walked with dinosaurs, in spite of absolutely no credible evidence to support the idea. A woman who wants to be President of the (REAL) United States of America.

                              Please. Not. Ever.
