this individual is not worthy of the badge based on the video I saw. However, most of you that have had the strongest words against law enforcement would also be the ones who cried loudest if the weren't there to protect you and something happened. This, to me, is the definition of self-righteous spoiled youth who have no concern other than themselves. these people put their lives on the line to protect people that have no appreciation for the sacrifices they make (and dangers to themselves and families they willfully undertake). Chastise this individual if you feel the need to, because I do, but grow beyond the sweeping general criticisms of an entire profession dedicated to protecting you.

At any rate, there is NO reason why that cop shouldnt be doing at LEAST 5 to 10. The crime should fit the punishment yes? People have served more time for doing less. Sentencing him to a year would be a clear indication as to how little value society holds for women, African American women in particular. Had it been Stacy in her parent's Lexus, this thread and this entire incident would be entirely non-existent.

This is their role. It's in their job description. We pay them, they are not making sacrifices. They can find work in other fields if they feel they are not properly compensated for their efforts. Most police officers will never fire their weapon, some will die protecting us.

Along with the officer in the video, the person who performed/analyzed his psychological evaluation should be fired, too.
