I JUST went through a similar scenario. GF and I had been living together a bit, we grew apart and it all ended in hell. Her birthday was November, then X-Mas, but I dodged the V-Day thing because we broke up the week before.

give her 24 hours before you say something you may regret. This is probably as stressfull on her as it is you. If she asked you to move in, she can't be too keen on breaking up with you. Hey, at least you didn't knock her up. I had a preggers scare a few weeks ago with mine (dating for a whole 4 months :-?), apparently antibiotics can fuck with birth control to rapidly produce all the symptoms of pregnancy (except for the infant). I was pulling my hair out for two weeks, we are talking 10-15 big symptoms, more showing up by the day. Finally, no doubt in my mind that she's knocked up, she goes to the doctor who informs her that BC can do weird shit, administers a test and it's negative.

This was a good week ago but I can still feel the relief pass over me when I think about that moment. :D
