Sounds like an asshole smoker excuse, mad because people around you don't fully support your nasty habit.somebody call the wahmbulance.
you really have to hold you breath walking by people smoking outdoors? how slow are you walking and how close do you get to these people? and are we talking about pot or cigarettes...? somehow i doubt anyones smoking pot outside on campus. so do you think cigarettes need to be outlawed? and if youre sitting next to someone thats smoking and that bothers you, why dont you get up and move or get some different friends that dont smoke? i dont like to hear people whining like you but i dont think we need more laws passed to stop whining. i just dont get worked up over it.
edit to add- i dont know if pot is legal where you are or not, but i have to assume pot and cigarette smoke both bother you. thats why i ask, do you think cigarettes should be outlawed because of the tiny amount of people that cannot handle "second-hand smoke" and are incapable of distancing themselves from it? is that why pot is illegal... second hand smoke? haha!
Here is a big fucking wake up call all you smokers; the only people who are not annoyed by your smoke inhabiting the air in the immediate area is other smokers. Everyone else hates it, it smells like shit and its annoying as fuck. Remember your first cig you stole from your unemployed dad's ripped up daisy dukes? Remember how it made you cough and hurt your throat? Yeah, when you haven't been chain smoking for most of your life inhaling smoke is not pleasant or fun. I don't care if it is outside or inside, it is annoying and yes everyone can smell it. This natural wonder called wind blows it all over the place, not just in a tiny little bubble that only you can smell. I don't give a fuck, I will tell people not to smoke around me, not ask. One of the few good things about living in California is that you assholes can't sit in front of an open door smoking away, pretending that you aren't effecting anyone else in the world.
It is definitely your right to be an idiot and choose to kill yourself but when your dumb decision effects how comfortable I am then you should lose that right in my opinion.
For the record, I see/smell people smoking pot all over public places and it is just as annoying.sigpicComment

your desire to force an owner to provide clean air inside a private establishment (which does not belong to you) is called ENTITLEMENT.
You see, since it doesn't belong to you, and its a PRIVATE place, then that means you are a GUEST inside that establishment. GUESTS who feel they should be making the rules are suffering from entitlement issues. The air inside that building isn't yours, so if you dont like it, LEAVE.
This just seems so obvious to me??
I believe many people have confused the difference between a "public place" and a "private place which is open to the public". Please do not lose sight of this distinction.

Not having a hit of weed since August 25th, 1997, I wonder how much stronger this new stuff really is.
We had Northern Lights, Kush, several different strains of Indica, plus all the old school purple hair and red hair and whatnot...my understanding is that the new stuff is like 10X to 20X the THC content.
That last pot I ever smoked (the shit and the time I realized I had a problem and had to do something drastic about it) was supposedly the 1997 Cannabis Cup winner. I had been a "wake and bake" kind of guy, plus smoking heavily for over 15 years, and that shit knocked me on my ass with one good bong rip.
I just wonder how the hell anyone could smoke shit like that and do anything?Comment

though weed is more potent now, it's not 10-20x of what you had in 97. maybe 10-20x better than in 77...Not having a hit of weed since August 25th, 1997, I wonder how much stronger this new stuff really is.

So you believe that someone's right to smoke supercedes everyone else's right to breath cleanly? Yes, I believe it is a right to breath cleanly and someone who sits down next to me and lights up is infringing on that right. If I see someone smoking, of course I choose to reside in another spot but why should I have to move because someone feels they are ENTITLED to smoke wherever they want. Ooh, there is that tricky word you were throwing around but you seemed to place it on the wrong party.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

For the record, I am mostly referring to outside situations being that I am in Cali where you can't smoke in buildings. In the case of outside Cali, if an establishment allowed smoking inside I would just make the choice to not go there. Outside is a different story, if I am standing somewhere and someone walks up and starts blowing smoke all over me (yes, when smoking the smoke has to go somewhere and it usually hits someone), that is a violation of my rights and you are god damn right I am entitled to my rights.sigpicComment

You do realize that back in the 1960s, smoking was legal: in trains, on airplanes, on busses, in restaurants, in bars, in sports arenas, in office buildings, in pool halls, in stores, in apartments and in hotels. So you believe that someone's right to smoke supercedes everyone else's right to breath cleanly? Yes, I believe it is a right to breath cleanly and someone who sits down next to me and lights up is infringing on that right. Now, it's illegal in ALL of those places, except maybe a very small percentage of apartment buildings and hotel rooms. Outdoors is the only place it is still legal, and people like you want to ban even that. And yes, wind blows it everywherre, but there is also a little miracle called "atmospheric dissipation". This means that when someone smokes outside, it doesn't linger, it dissipates within seconds. Also, cars and trucks are responsible for a larger quantity of this country's asthmatic and carcinogenic pollutants than cigarretes. Should we outlaw those too?Originally posted by accidentI have achieved the title of Douche of the month.

I never said I wanted it banned outdoors, I want smokers to use a little discretion when lighting up. I have friends that think for a second before they light up and go away from the crowd. The problem is in our society, nobody knows what discretion is and does whatever the fuck they feel like. This is when "bans" have to come in, cause people are to fucking stupid to take personal responsibility.
I never said anything about asthmatic or carcinogenic pollutants so I'm not sure why you brought that up but on that note, I don't have cars/trucks idling behind my head when standing in a line.
Oh, it also used to be legal to beat your wife, drive drunk and blacks and women could not vote. If it used to be legal, it must have been the right decision right?sigpicComment
