How did az start any shit??? They passed a law that is the same as the federal law and the same as the CA law like it.
The difference being AZ intendeds on enforcing it.
Then YOUR mayor and city console announce and vote to boycott AZ of all the stuff they DONT REALLY NEED like Power and water.

you want to know something, if we make entitlements, food stamps only good for bread, milk eggs, rice, potatos, beans and 2 pounds of ground meat a week. Make the housing community housing and not single family. You know the bare necessities, of basic nutrition and a roof over your head, make it as unpleasant as possible to be Welfare while still keeping people fed and dry. Make it an incentive to work and have more than the bare necessities, and your own place.
You would see droves of the entitlment crowd rush to those minimum wage jobs, so they can have more, and better them selves. Eat more and better foods, become productive and get off the govt dime.
When you get laid off you get your 26 weeks of Unemployment Insurance and thats it NO EXTENSION to 99 weeks like available now. You have to become responsible for your self and not expect the govt to take care of you.
I dont pick veggies and shit because I dont need to, I have skills that are in demand and pay much more. It that was the only option to put food on the table and roof over my head, FUCK yes I would pick lettuce or another menial labor. I nor any other man is above such things, to provide for themselves and family, you do what you have. Sadly the nanny state has created a monster in this country and its one of the largest anchors around the neck of society and dragging us all down. Being a life-long Californian, my hats off to Arizona for not taking this matter sitting down (so to speak). They simply are enforcing Federal Immigration law since the Feds won't do it. Nothing wrong with that as far as I'm concerned.
As for cutting off some of California's power, I say do it.....fight fire with fire. Let push come to shove and watch the shit hit the fan - that could be an effective wakeup call. At some point the masses are going to hit a tipping point (hopefully sooner than later) and start demanding a more representative government, but that will take a movement of untold proportions since this is the state that no longer recognizes Columbus Day as a state holiday, but we get Ceasar Chavez Day off at the end of March :-?
