Sounds like your posting reactionary e-mails to r3v. this also sounds false, in my dealings with any officer of the law, they knew their shit.

his girlfriend has been a good friend of mine for over 20 years, she is not the kind of person to just make shit up, I have other people I know that I would doubt if they were to tell me, but not her.
Again the proof that he was released when getting to a supervisor is proof that the documentation was correct. I think that far south in California they may be very use to seeing documents with South and Central America, but not Asia.Brian JacobsComment

i like how people were calling you uneducated because the QUOTES that you posted had misspellings in them. haha. reading comprehension fail on their part.AWD > RWDComment

Kershaw, thanks for the support, but owning is not my intention, I also think calling out a spelling error is a cheap shot and of little susbtance. One thing peole forget is when on an online community we have no idea who the person on the other side of the computer is, if english is their first language, if they are in the middle of feeding a baby or working on a report. some lee way should be given.Brian JacobsComment

oh snap. i think you just owned everyone that previously posted in this thread. especially that one db that posted about running drugs across the border. i guess your friend swims from his country with drugs.

Fail. I think he said they still came over via the boarder athe the Great white north. No swimming required. A flight from Korea to Montreal, then drive the border would mean no swimming.
Yep, we give lots of "lee-way", our local asian canuck Massive Lee needs all the excuses for goofy phrasing.Comment

I dont see the big deal,,, was he deported? NO so whats your problem.
I would gladly get detained for 48hrs if it meant more illegals were screened, questioned, and deported.... espc ones who committ crimes.
Many illegals are arrested everyday and not deported, so the whole thing sounds a little shady to me.
Also I have never heard of someone not having proper documentation on them, and being deported as quickly as you say does not happen. They have to verify your true identity before they can deport you which takes time. I would be more apt to believe the officer said he was going to DETAIN your friend. Which makes sense.Comment

This whole story is bullshit and laughable at the same time. Legally in this country for 20 years? Is he not a citizen? Does he not carry a drivers license? I'm going to bet his passport or visa or whatever has been expired and he hasn't renewed it yet. Everything about this little fairytale is just complete bullshit.Comment

going to post from a friend of mine, get your opinions here.
"Just spent 48 hours in hell. I watched my boyfriend, a man who has been in this country LEGALLY for nearly 20 years get arrested and detained because at least THREE border patrol agents did not understand his paperwork and thereby assumed he was an "illegal". Without bothering to make a few simple phone calls, they told him he was "getting deported". On the spot, in the car. No lawyer, no trial, no judge."
"Thank you to the friends who responded to our pleas for help. He is safe and at home, although completely shaken up. US Border Patrol agents ARE UNIFORMED UNEDUCATED AND DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOBS."
"A US BORDER PATROL AGENT, funded by your tax dollars, took all of FIVE SECONDS to glance at a piece of paper and make the accusation that (because she didn't understand his status) he was "getting deported." We were told this several times, before he was even questioned or had a thorough review of his status."Comment

I say good riddance.
Lyttle, 32, has spent much of his adulthood bouncing among mental institutions, halfway houses and prisons. He has been convicted of more than a dozen crimes, including assault and sexual battery.

yes, the generalization is unfortunate, I do forgive that in her rage. This particular agent was wrong, and there are others that do their job, that is a hard job, with dignity and repsect to the people they are detaining, the proof this person was wrong is her boyfriend is now free after getting up the chain a little further it took 5 minutes to clear him, really 48 hours of holding to say oops my bad kind of sucks. To top it off they could only give him forms in spainish, he does not speak, or read spainish, why? because he is fucking Japanese! why would you give an Asian spainish forms and then tell him they are not available in English. It gets to a point it is comical

if profiling works, and it makes sense to have the forms spainish only, why stop an Asian?Brian JacobsComment
