You are the guy that runs piping and such correct? You have been to shitty Binghamton correct?

I don't get into politics because there is nothing more you can do than vote or email and complain.
Yup Pipeliner here, yes spent much of 08 in Binghamton at the supper 8 on old front street, prolly one of the best pipeliner friendly hotels I have ever been in.

So your facts as originally posted were wrong. Now tell joshh to eat a dick.
Not really, the reasoning that was given to me, was that No matter what (my W4 is 0+ 20 bucks normaly) I didnt have enough deductions to the tune of 25.36 to lower my liabilities and as a resulting tax bracket had to pay much more than other wise would have. Thats as it was explained to me, I dont argue with the guy that normally gets me several 1000's back every year.

He made money off of you guys. He drives a Lambo and a 911 turbo. But you still did not answer my question.

Do you still use the accountant that made the 4,300 mistake? And do you get a discount if you buy him depends and ensure?

Again I pay a professional to do my taxes TO AVOID ISSUES. My taxes involve 10,000's in travel expenses, Mutupil states of employment and some times as many as 4-5 employers the shit is complicated.

                Free markets work pretty well.

What is happening today is the result of some bad ideas on the side of the free market (CDO's, CDS's, lending practices) and now our worthless Government failing daily to do anything remotely worthwhile to help business and the middle class.

I'll be giving my accountant a call tomorrow. If I'm wrong I will concede.
But from memory it's just not that simple.

Last I checked you're not taxed at your highest tax bracket on every dollar you make. You do not take home less, ultimately, for making more even what you go up a bracket.

That said - taxing higher wage earners more does not help anyone.

It seems as though you guys are mistaking your tax refunds for the pay you make over the entire year.

In Oct 08 I took a new job with 35% pay increase. It bumped me up a tax bracket and I did pay significantly more in taxes, but my take home pay also drastically improved.

I would really like to see this "hypothetical" situation where you get a raise but take home less money.

You mean how I completely defended my statements and you've yet to admit you were wrong to attack me over it? I'm sorry I can't use logical fallacies for all my arguments
