For the third time, the gay marriage debate has nothing to do with sex or std's. This is about granting certain legal rights to same sex couples. Gay men are going to continue to have sex and HIV is going to continue to be transmitted regardless of whether they can marry or not.

I don't have children, but I'd say obviously not while I was supporting them. So while I would instill that I think it's gross/disgusting, once they are an adult and making their own decisions, if that's what they want to do, that's THEIR decision.

Sure, why not? Something people don't seem to understand, if you don't like a movie/TV show/book/music, you don't have to watch/read/listen to it. Have children in the house? The have the chips that restrict what channels are available, or people could actually take responsibility for what their children do. Why should I get to decide what someone else gets to do? Same as before, once you are out on your own and making your own living, you can do as you please.

Jesus what happened to the topic of this thread? As a newly minted Libertarian I believe in the Constitution and I also believe in as much freedom for man as possible. However, marriage has always been a union between 2 of the opposite sex and has been adopted as such in society and laws are based around that. Now you can look at it as no big deal but we all know that an attack on religious customs is near the same as an attack on the Constitution. They have to start somewhere no matter how small it may seem. I am not against gay people being together I just think gay marriage goes against religious beliefs that marriage was founded on.
