with the exception of a few missing links, we are close to knowing mans begininings, But even with everything we dont know, there is alot more proof there then there is in a creator.
The only proof religion has are books written by man and nothing tangible to go with it
I agree with you there but for the sake of some Christians who made a somewhat valid point.
Man had an average height of around 5'6" or so in the middle ages to now being much taller. And that could be from nutrition and other environmental factors. But if we see it in animals, it's with humans as well.
I do believe in evolution over God but I don't rule out that evolution is not what we were created from. But just another factor of our evolution as beings in general.
But I do not believe we were created like the bible says. That just makes me laugh.
Any higher power that expects you be believe in them without real proof, doesn't really understand human beings. So how could they be the creator? If there really is a god then he will do what's needed for me to be saved, or give me that chance. Just saying that is really surreal for me cause I know he doesn't exist like that.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Pretty simple, really.....
.....you see, there's genetic code in both sperm and egg, and the combination of the two, if all goes well, produces healthy, fully formed offspring. Coupled with responsible, loving parents who emphasize desirable behavioral traits while avoiding reinforcing undesirable behavioral traits, the combination yields children of above average intelligence and good temperament.
Dude......take some credit! An "intelligent creator" didn't raise her. You did. In the hands of lousy parents, she would not be the same child. If you were to suddenly die, the "intelligent creator" will not lift a finger to make life better for her. If the "intelligent creator" existed, we wouldn't need to buy insurance!
When I see my children and how they conduct themselves in public-their thoughtfulness and awareness, I know where it came from. It came from the high expectations of parents who don't sell their kids short and instead help them learn to think for themselves and behave in ways that are likely to help them make something of themselves.
Lots of lousy religious parents out there who teach their kids things that will damn them to a lifetime of ignorance and fear.
Thanks dude ;) However that sort of comment is par for the course with that guy.I Timothy 2:1-2Comment

you can not just look at height of man as part of evolution, as my wife is 5'4" and there are men over 7' currently. Remember back to school there are the different stages of man that are different from each other and show a distinct evolution. These stages of man had different postures from eachother diggerent size heads for more or less developed brains and eyes. This studies are looking back over 4 million years where man was about 4' tall and the latest evolution into our current form of homo sapien is only about 120,000 years old.Brian JacobsComment

we have the same amount of proof for both subjects so neither is belivable to me. (bring on the conspiracy theories)Brian JacobsComment

that is nothing religious or evolutionary. we do see it in animals. less food or less nutritional food = smaller animals. diet affects average height pretty severely. the average peasant in europe during the middle ages ate cabbage. 24/7. the museum of natural history has a graph of average height, compared to diet, for 6-8 different periods in human history. results are not bewildering.

That's basically what I said. I can't disagree with that other than I do believe humans evolve. just not at the rate Scientists guess at.
But I don't agree that all these different humanoids are related to us. Just different species.
The aliens theory makes the most sense.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Listen, you guys are wrong about some things. First, there is no "rate" at which humans evolve. Humans evolve with every new generation which is different for every male/female pair. Some people have kids when they are young, others when they are old. Second, the term "missing link' is misleading. Technically, every new generation is a link in the chain. To have no missing links would literally mean that archeologists had unearthed every single ape skeleton. Lastly, evolution is ALWAYS happening. Every new generation is slightly evolved over the previous generation. Some traits take thousands or millions of year to show up, others only take hundreds. Procreation is everything with evolution. When people refer to it as "survival of the fittest" it should actually be referred to as "survival of the procreating."Comment

Humans are now gods because we can create life. Well, not technically from nothing, but still cool.
