Not at all. The only illegal act was performed by the group or the person that stole the information from the government. Then, wether this info is spread thru the internet (WikiLeak) or printed media (the 5 newspaper) becomes irrelevent.
The US government is currently suing a member of AIPAC, an Israeli lobby group in Washington for stealing similar information. The US government is also trying to determine the source of the leak that was spread by WikiLeak and the newspaper. Information is information. Wether it suits the government or not. Remember the Watergate? Has the Washington Post been sued for disclosing elements that threatened the national security?Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

I was under the impression that disseminating illegally obtained secret information was a crime, no?
I'm also still confused as to whether wikileaks gave the information to all of those papers or if some other source gave it to wikilieaks and the papers at the same time.Comment
