Right now the cheapest gas you can buy here costs 8.7 dollars/gallon, and diesel is at 6 dollars/gallon.

The other day I paid 3.63 for Premium. This is in one of the most expensive states in the nation and with 2 refinery shutdowns in the past 6 months.
We have it so so good here.Comment

No, its still about 3-3.50 USD there, too. Its just the 100% plus taxation your govt levies on motor fuel that makes it seem so much more expensiveOriginally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

See, if something costs $10, it costs $10. Regardless of how much of that cost is derived from manufacture, advertising, transportation, taxes, etc. It still costs the end user $10. It doesn't "seem" like $10, it IS $10.
Once again, you are 100% incorrect in your assessment of the situation (as usual). It is not "3-3.50 USD there, too" and it does not "seem so much more expensive"... it IS that expensive and it does NOT cost that much.
If you wish to argue that without taxes their prices might be lower, that's fine. But that's simply arguing a fantasy world that does not exist. Which doesn't help anyone or anything :loco:Comment

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "cost".

In America we pay for our fuel and health care separately.
For now
Darrin: Refined fuels are a globally traded commodity, and in general other than a few % either way for local supply issues and refinement requirements , its the same price around the world just like crude oil is. So the cost for the RAW PRODUCT your buying is THE FUCKING SAME here as it is most any other place in the world. When you have govts that need pay for shit, they look to taxing shit and fuel is a biggie, because you have to have it and will buy it no matter what, or how much it costs. And I am arguing without the taxes here as well.
and did brave just defend me................... Wow thats odd, but thanksLast edited by mrsleeve; 11-08-2012, 04:34 PM.Originally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.
