Hmm I don't know, being able to pee standing up?
Sorry foxy... You can too !

Pee Standing Up! It's neat. It's discreet. GoGirl makes it simple. Stand and go!

But honestly, being a man is pretty much the best gift god has ever given, well, any man.

List of pros is endless ;)

it's not sad. it gives me hope.

You have some "issues", I think. I guess because your marriage has gone to hell, that it's societies fault and not your own? Neither my wife and I go to church or believe in god but she still doesn't stomp all over me, take everything I own or use sex to get what she wants. sheesh.

Also we have two kids that already know right from wrong and they've never even been inside a church or know what it is, they're probably the most polite 2 and 3 year olds you'll ever meet.

also, this is pretty much a religion thread now. :|

Wait a minute... You quoted ancient Greece which started roughly 600BC, but the story of the first marriage and the institution of marriage was created with Adam and Eve roughly 3800BC

Who was the one that was uneducated...?

Bro... You're on the Internet. I'm glad you're logic to define how complex I am as a human being is defined to 2 posts you read on a debate topic. It really reveals the type of person I am discussing with. Congratulations

That's a bold claim, because do far: living on a feminized society, I can't see any benefit to being a man. Frankly, it's become so bad,em can't even discuss their problems without being labels chauvinistic. THAT'S sad.

              Proof?

there is a reason religion is taught to children:

If you waited until they were adults, they would laugh at you for being dumb enough to believe that crap. You have to instill these beliefs while they are too young to know better, much like Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, and the Tooth Fairy.

Funny how kids stop believing in all of that stuff once they become educated...

                  It was from the start.

I love God. I feel as if I know there is one. I don't believe in religion at all however. I'm a Christian at heart but don't believe in being called a Christian. It make no sense to a lot of people. It's like something I live by and not something I just believe in. I choose however not to lable my morals or standards.

Labels lead to groups or orginizations then it all goes south from there.

I was kidding about being gay.

My legal wife doesn't run shit. Neither do I. We raise our happy little kids together and do what we both agree on doing. there's no arguing, no fighting, no asking for sex.... If I want it, I take it. Same with her.

Believing in God brings hope and peace in this crazy ass world we live in. It's a mindset that really rules over all. Whenever I'm down, He's my way of cheering up. Same for my family. It keeps us together knowing that me and her are on the same page.

                      word......(to vtec?lol)

Just because you believe in God, doesn't make you religious. I believe in Him, but I look at it as a relationship, not a duty or a set of rules I have to follow which give me the right to condemn those that don't do the same. Relationships are a choice.

Marriage require Love and Respect. Men and woman have different needs. Women require love while men need respect. Example, if you tell a man you don't love him, it's not that big of a deal, but if you look him square in the eye and say I don't respect you, that strikes a cord. Go tell a woman that your are close to whether it be your wife, gf or mother that you don't love her, see what happens.

                              Not related but related..

last night i went on a date/hangout with a lady friend... as i am driving her back to her spot the issue of marriage comes up. The first thing she told me was the fact that.. she wanted to get married because she was taught as a little girl that that was what needed to happen..............WTF!?!?! and no matter what facts i presented (even she acknowledged that the arguments i presented were correct) she said it was just something she felt that she had to do.

Moral~~~~ ppl often do or believe in things that don't need to be done or believed in even in the face of logic and reason simply because its what they are taught.

And to the ppl that think religion is the basis of the concept of right and wrong..:rofl

I cannot imagine the hell that guy lives in where every aspect of his life is controlled by his wife. She must have a golden vagina or something, damn.

Anyway, the main point has been hit on many times already; open communication. If you can't communicate with your wife, the person you are "closest" to, your relationship is doomed to fail. My in-laws constantly try to split us up because they hate me (and have told me so to my face) and without the open trusting relationship I have with my wife, we wouldn't have lasted a year.

I also see a few comments about what if someone else is crushing your wife's box. This should be defined in your relationship; either it's open or it's not.

All of this aside, your relationship should work for you, not anyone else. You could have the weirdest relationship on the planet (like this one where the man is her servant) and as long as you're both OK with it then it's OK with me. You gotta do what works for you. Sometimes outside advice is helpful but in the end a relationship is a personal thing and is only between the two people.
