        Doesn't russia have an agreement to have up to 25,000 troops in crimea since about 1991? (not sure, i might be wrong) Then again they do have to stay on base i think...

                  It was 35,000 last I checked, Crimea is Russia's main access to their Black Sea Navy. Crimea was even Russia's capitol at one time.

                  This all seems like it's just to get attention off what is going on at home.

                  Seems to much like Syria.
