This is a serious question I'am not trying to argue this one. But beside the civil rights protest with MLK. What has been accomplished directly from the protesting. Every war has still been fought and every law has been passed to my knowledge(i will admit its not an extensive knowledge on this matter) unless the state senator(s)said they didn't think it was right to pass it and then i was veto'd in congress or the senate. Please do enlighten me, Cause i think its a waste of time personally but would like to know why people feel the need to do it. Like i said not trying to argue on this i actually wanna learn why people feel the need to protest. Seems like it doesn't get anywhere but maybe i'm wrong?

You're too young but the vietnam war protests started small and eventually became very large and was influential in ending the US's involvement in vietnam and also ending the draft. Also it started peaceful and eventually included bombings and violence.

There were lots of people who protested before the Iraq war too (not as many as the vietnam war) but they were shouted down as being unpatriotic and of course that turned out really well. Maybe if more people had stood up and protested we wouldn't have had our shitty leaders drag us into Iraq.

just like the war on drugs there's no real timeline for when the "war on terror" will ever end.

and since the population doesnt seem to be particularly critical about the war on terror or intervention abroad we are likely to continue seeing the US stick it's dick into conflict after conflict without end.

I see the war on drugs as a ploy to make the prison systems rich and make the gov money. Thats why the CIA was caught with their pants down funding it. That is def a war that needs to end. If you wanna waste your life being a burn out thats your decision but i know im gonna catch hell for that one. There was a very informative and mostly non biased documentary on how corrupt the prison system is do to the war on drugs on netflix i will have to find the name of it.
