you may not hear arguments for the death penalty from too many of us lefties, but i think it should apply to those convicted of child molestation in cases where there is verified dna evidence.

i don’t have any kids, but i do have 3 nieces, and if i caught someone in the act of abusing one of my brother’s daughters, i’d kill them on the spot or die trying.

maybe other antifa members would argue to let the justice system handle things. i have very strong feelings on the subject.

I would go for that. Violent rape as well. I don't know why rape isn't considered to be in the same league as murder.


While that sign does seem like it could be someone trolling, given the other ridiculous things I've seen from antifa, I'm not convinced that it isn't real.

well, i think i've made my opinion on rape or molestation pretty clear, and everyone i know from the antifa movement would at least argue for life sentence, i think.

there are quite a few people involved who'd call themselves feminist, or LGBTQ, and i can assure you that they're also not willing to tolerate rape or sexual abuse. hell, they get pissed off when women or trans people get shouted at from moving cars; of *course* they're not okay with people touching kids.

i can't speak for everyone, but if i saw that sign at one of our bay area protests i would walk up and ask for an explanation in the interest of "policing our own". i think it's a plant intended to discredit, though- i have a hard time believing any of us are advocating for pedophiles.

their event was counter-protested, so they went and started a bar fight about it. punched a white woman in the face for daring to sit down for dinner with her black boyfriend.

Edit: ok maybe that statement isn’t really fair. But it still gets to the point of my opinion that antifa is doing nothing useful, and possibly contributing to things that not helpful to society (I.e. antagonizing racists vs trying to properly cure racism).

As I said before it's a mixture of deep societal and economic problems that lead people down this path. They think the non-whites have caused all the problems they face in their communities thus creating the hate. It's not just hate out of no where for the color of someone's skin. And, I don't think counter-protesting/yelling at these fringe groups from across the street is doing anything useful to solve the societal and economic problems that these communities face. I also believe the opposition these fringe groups are witnessing is just making them double down on their stance that non-whites and Jews are causing all their problems.

I’m not qualified to have any productive ideas on how to fix the economic and societal circumstances that lead a person down the path to white supremacy. How is it reasonable for me to have those solutions? My solution is to have experts come up with solutions. My solution is to not have some wannabe thugs in motorcycle gear yelling at white supremacists to get out of their city. I’m starting to feel like I’m talking to a brick wall... Jesus.

I’m not antagonizing anyone and I’m not infringing on anyone’s rights so I feel like I’m doing pretty well to be honest. While white supremacy is a terrible thing, I don’t think it’s as rampant as the media, and you, make it out to be. I’d rather focus my efforts on something that actually matters. Like my job. That actually saves lives and protects our freedom.
