Did you have to cut very deep into the car to get decent clearance with the exhaust?sigpic

Iron freak, only had to cut on the door sill, prolly 1.5", I believe I used 5" or 6" exhaust tubing as a filler. The underside of the chassis has a nice recess where the exhaust could tuck up nicely.
Silence.... ThanksWMMFT Racing/Condor SpeedShop/BimmerHeadsComment

I have a very similar plan so I was curious. I was thinking about bringing it out the side a little higher but this seems to be a simpler option.sigpic

Yes, check the underside floor pan for the recess, it's almost like that's what it's there for....FYI, the surrounding sheet metal where I cut through is very thin........ Or you could do like Tim Hardy and exit behind and above the front tire, coming through the fender..... Coming off the turbo, he has about 2 foot of exhaust. Very nice and mean looking setup.WMMFT Racing/Condor SpeedShop/BimmerHeadsComment

Would you mind providing a few more shots on this bad boy? I have been envisioning something very similar with mine. did you just use lightweight ABS plastic?sigpic

It's a fender from a truck. I believe it's called Kydex. 1/4" thick, almost indestructible. I am not going to be able to use it as the front end mods I had to do to make clearance for the new radiator/Intercooler, well, there was interference shall we say. DTM fiberwerks makes a nice nose that I'm going with.WMMFT Racing/Condor SpeedShop/BimmerHeadsComment

Sorry no pics........pulling the lump in a week or two........got a friend that owns his own shop who is going to go through the motor for me. He is very good with turbos. He's a Honda guy( don't hate). Anyway, y'all be cool.WMMFT Racing/Condor SpeedShop/BimmerHeadsComment
