    Racing AERO

    Building my Time attack E30 - http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=339779

After seeing the advantages of a good AERO setup, Im wondering if any companies Sell Front Splitters for the e30,

I Found this Made out of ABS plastic

But i'm not sure it will be very effective.

Or will i have to make my own.

Im going to Go a http://brooksmotorsport.com Rear Wing.

    Why not copy this

But no so wide. Block off the brake ducts have a small duct for radiator and bring the brake ducts into the single center duct.

I make mine out of plywood. It's strong and easily replaced. You can also use Alumalite. Look for it at a sign shop. It costs about $120/sheet near me.

Glad someone just brought this up. I just ordered up some carbon fiber and picked up some thin sheets of wood from Home Depot to build my own front splitter. I did a huge search and found that the Apex "Frankenstein e30" had an aero package that looked appealing. Very curious if anyone else has any experience building their own splitters that they can share with us (ie: where to brace to the underbody, sizing/materials, etc)?

Custom aluminium Front splitter and a APR-Gt250 wing, I'm getting some custom mounts made to get it sitting higher (roof height)

Block off the front of your tires. Bunch of drag there.

Yeah ok I'll let into getting this done.
This setup has helped hugely with turn in and to reduce understeer.

Is your wing mounted to the trunklid or does it go through it to the chassis?

Looks great! I'd like to say that aero is next for the track car I co-own, but we have so many other projects to do first. When we get around to tit, something like this would be perfect.

                            It never ends!

Something like that will help block air to the tire and also help downforce.
