    4x100 big brake kit thread

    Hello,

Wanted to make this thread to see who is using what. Let’s keep this thread specific to 4x100

Please reply with kit information , caliper type, piston quantity and diameter , rotor diameter and thickness etc .

Also it would be helpful to list what wheels are being used, with or without spacers? Size of the wheel and offset .

Let’s keep this thread as factual and informative as possible.

I’ll try, today I printed massive lees 300x22mm kit template utilizing wilwood superlite calipers . I went ahead and checked clearance against TireRack Trm 15x8 e30 specific wheels , they clear for the most part but would need 3-5mm spacer to have clearance on the edges of the caliper against the wheel.

Massive 300x32 kit will require even bigger spacer, probably 15mm to clear.

I have 300x32 Massive floating rotors front and rear.
6 piston radial mount wilwoods up front
4 piston wilwoods in the rear.
        25mm e32 master cylinder 34311156643
        modified 944 booster
Hawk DTC front rotors / Wilwood rears

the front will fit 15x8's but the radial mount 6 pots are huge and you need a 20mm spacer for 15's and an 8mm spacer of the ARC-8's i"m running now.

I am running the massive 300x32 kit on all 4 corners, wilwood superlite calipers with AP rotors and PFC pads, 25mm MC, e21 booster. With some slight shaving of the caliper, Kosei K1s fit with no spacer, but I run a 3mm one. The old team dynamic pro race 2 wheels fit without shaving the calipers.

Very nice, this is pretty much exactly what I plan to run. I really think the Massive kits seem like the best quality BBK setups on the market. Awesome to hear that the K1s fit over this setup. 15s I assume? What width and offset? Are you running the radial mounted calipers?

Sorry, should have mentioned. Its the 15x7 K1s, ET25. I have an older kit with the 4 piston superlites (1.62" pistons) instead of the radial calipers.

That looks phenomenal. Are those canards something custom or are they something that is available off the shelf?

Are you using a manual brake setup? I'm planning to go with one of the Massive dual master manual setups and eventually the same front BBK.

They are custom, I made a few sets in case they got destroyed. I am running a 25mm MC with e21 booster. The brakes feel great IMHO.

Only thing I don't like about my RS003s; zero BBK fitment.

Has anyone had fitment issues with the IE front kit? Like pistons on 1 side of the caliper, protruding further on one side than the other side? Or the floating rotor hitting the outer tie rod?

                          This set up, specifically.....?

Mine will fit, with spacers, I just didn't want mine spaced out so much:)

Not sure about that kit, I have the 16", and I did have problems with it hitting the E36 tierods from my rack swap. Turns out the off brand that Rackdoc sent me was the issue.

I put a set of Lemforders on there and that cleared up the issue.
