Like I said, I highly doubt there will be a 16" wheel, there's little to offer by way of tire choice. I'll ask about it but I think the chances are less than zero.Comment

One the biggest reasons for developing these wheels was for track use. Obviously there would be a market for street use as well though. However, there really is a limited selection, at best, of rubber in 16" and really nothing for track use in this size. If I had to bet I'd guess there would be no 16" option but I can't say for sure.
Cheers.
But i MUST implore, go with a smaller offset than et22. et20 will work with mildly sized street tires but with 225 slicks (like the Hoosiers), you may have rubbing. Going through threads with 15x8 custom fitments, people were still using spacers to accomodate. So it *should* be more like et18.
My dealings with this kind of thing was organizing group buys for custom 16x8 and 15x8 Rotas. both were et20 and the smaller rim's offset wasnt enough. (my opinion was scratched before requesting production)
Lastly, if you say these are intended on track use... who actually runs on the track w/o some sort of camber adjustment? This isnt a topic of concern about fender fitments, its about not having to use a spacer.
Thanks for listening!
btw, youre exactly right. with todays trends of wheel sizes, the 16" competition selection really is dwindling. And funny enough, there are lots of 15" selections in proper e30 widths.Comment

I'd like to bump this in regard to a recent post by fellow group buy pusher for a custom set of rims.
under stock fenders 225/45/15 hoosier A6 on 15x8 et 15-20
et18 would guarantee my purchaseLast edited by xLibelle; 02-26-2008, 04:26 PM.Comment

I and several other folks on this board successfully run 225 r-comps on the 15x8 ET 20 rotas that were on GB awhile back. If these wheels come in at the price that's being kicked around, I'd probably pick up a set as well...
BTW - I weighed my Rotas at 14.8 lbs. each on the postal scale at work...for what it's worth. An 11 lb. wheel at this pricepoint would be tempting.Comment

I would prefer you stuck to ET22 - that would allow me to fit them on my car. ET18/8" wide won't work on an ix :(
(I know, I'm in the vast, vast minority here)Comment
