Here are some more shots. The passenger side strut tower tube is not yet fully welded. But you get the idea. Pictures were taken this afternoon before I did the first coat of paint.

                      very nice welds
how many years of experience does it take to achieve such clean welds?

Did the test fit come out good?

My friend used a Tig which makes nicer welds than a Mig. He's experimented, but not a pro welder.

Test fit was to ensure I could fit the box, as the engine is set-back by 1.5", and to verify I can use the CF snorkel (air collector).

I have practiced a bit with mig but not as much as I would like. I dont have access to a welder any more. Just a rule of thumb I think it would be best for my self to be pretty good at mig before attempting tig.

And yes tig is suppose to look much cleaner then a mig.
Can you do me a favor and ask the welder, How many years he has been welding for.

Ya the test fit looks good.

                              Very nice.

Glad you put a bias adjuster in there too. I'd be disappointed in a bbk distributor if they didn't. ;)

Even if piston sizes were perfectly matched and didn't required a valve, well, every track is different, and from full to empty tank, the car's rear weight changes. So, yes, an adjustable valve is a necessity.
