Well, my 88 325is is now probably totaled due to a lady on her cell phone running a red light. Hit my drivers side rear quarter panel and rim. We're both ok, and honestly not bummed at all. Just happy both her and I are ok. I went as soon as I saw green, saw the car coming at me and I floored it, not wanting to unexpectedly sit in the passenger seat.

About 15K was into it. I honestly feel the worst for GuercII who built the car, and wanted to buy it back maybe after the new year. It's his heart and soul, and I wanted to make the car better than he had it while I owned it. It really did not need too much more than some paint-less dent removal, and some paint touch up, along with a better drop.

Now the hunt for another car begins. Oh what fun!!!

Most likely will have 3-4 sets of tires/rims to sell if I don't buy another 4 lug E30. Will miss my kook RS-3s. Actually most bummed because this car has taught me how to drive so friggen damn well. Last AutoX in Camarillo so many came up and asked if the car was turbo'd and wondered what suspension I had on it. Just the M50 and stock redone suspension mostly.... Really they couldn't believe the car was that capable....and I was sick while racing that day. Hence the desire for another well rebuilt 325is....I know how to drive it...to an extent. I think I could have cut off .5-.7 seconds had I not been sick, and could have shifted to 3rd and back.

Z3M, Z3 3.0, 240z with 350 small block, E36 M3, 300zx TT or 944 Turbo are what I will look into, unless I find a S50/52 swapped 325is in red.

sucks to hear about your car :( i hope you get as much as you can from insurance if the car really is a total loss :( glad to hear you're not injured but beware some injuries take a few days to surface.

Agreed, waiting for injuries to surface. At the very least just complain about a sore neck and shoulders to the G/F right? Ahhhh yessss ;-)

IF by chance it can be fixed, I will be selling it regardless in the near future. If I can buy it back, probably be parting it out. Balleristic already called dibs on my hood and seats (right bud?) ;-)

It was a fun ride owning my first BMW for just 1 week shy of a year! At least I know, no way in hell am I going back to Audi. F*** working on those cars, even if a B5 S4 is nutty fast, it turns as well as a train on asphalt....
