Agreed, don't like mulitlug either, even if that one is not, it sure looks it. Makes me think of civics with chipping paint and body kits half painted falling off.

That reminds me...need to get my IS lip painted again. ;-)

They don't look full size holes. Looks like a noticeable difference in diameter between the two sets of holes.

I don't think it works properly. According to its calculation if you take a 17x8 et20 wheel, increase the lip by 2" and decrease the backspacing by 20mm then your new et is 15. That does not add up. If you add about 51mm to the lip then that should make it an et -31 right? Then shave off 20mm from the back gives you -11.


Just checked another site. Gives me the same result. Seems weird

Makes sense to me.

You start with a 203.2mm wide wheel with et20, which is 121.6 behind the hub surface and 81.6 in front of it.
Add 50.8mm of lip to the front, so now still 121.6 behind the hub and 132.4 in front.
Decrease backspacing by 20mm, which moves the hub closer to the face, so 141.6 behind the hub and 112.4 in front.

New width is 254 mm. Take half, subtract the 112.4mm backspacing, and you're left with et14.6.

Honestly thinking of selling them. If the car was concours winning, then sure they would be worthy. Either way, I lucked out with these, they came with the car, and the seller agreed to my price. Still, multi-lug ALWAYS looks cheap IMO.

I now do think Einstein is correct, that the rims on the previous page are NOT multilug.
