Wow I'm surprised they still have that thing up. I thought parks did away with them in favor of more "kid safe" playgrounds. No more rocketships, ball pits, gauntlets, merry go rounds, etc, you know...the fun stuff.

Mmm.. Not exactly.. Not the way the universities are headed now. Increasing tuition, hiring more idiot lackadaisical teachers, stupid leadership and higher-ups leading the campus for their own personal gain and not for the students. 4 years of messing around BARELY scraping by even though your trying your hardest.. I was going to a 4-year university for 2 years, and I was STILL in year 1 because I couldn't get classes and professors I needed...

I'd rather got to a 2 year trade school and training program and be done with it. Then I can start working in my field and making bank while I finish all this other bullcrap the universities call "General Education" so I can get my BS and pay off my student loan in 3-4 years and get on with my life. I'd rather be done by 21 and moving on than be stuck at the university doing engineering til I'm 25...

There are many more options to think about thn just 4-6 year universities.. But yes, I do agree with you that Education is the greatest fiscal investment we have for the future. Apparently California think otherwise however.....

I'm not fully American, and where I come from, the good girls date at 16 and are married by 18, and our nationality is fairly close knit, so we don't blend well with other cultures. If you don't find one by 21 your pretty much screwed

And on the logical side.. Why the heck why would pay more money to go to school and waste time with girls that will never become my wife? All that time, effort, energy, heartache, and headache for nothing. If someone's seriously saying I should stay in school when I'm 21 JUST to mess around with girls, they need a priority check..

in less than two months i will have an AA and BA. i still believe that side by side an employer would take my BA from UCLA more seriously than my AA at El Camino CC for 99% of the jobs i'd be applying for.

why waste time with girls you're not marrying? because it's part of the experience of being young. i have enjoyed myself in college, and i don't consider myself behind just because i'm two years older and $11k in school loans. i'd do it all over again.
