That is what I was afraid of. I have never had a claim with them but heard the horror stories. I am so bummed. :( This was not cheap but fully insured through Fedex.

We had them damage a cylinder head a month or so ago. It was insured for the declared value of $1000. They refused to offer ANY compensation even with repeated contact and an invoice providing proof of costs. Lucky for us they did return it to us on their dime and we only lost about $100 on the transaction. They of course blame packaging every chance they get.

When I shipped the BBS RS 001's to Portland, via Fedex Ground, I declaired a value of $2300. They told me that they had to inspect the packaging due to the high declaired value and they tore the two box's apart only to say "good job on packaging". They also said that seeing that they inspected it there would be no issues with claims. I asked them how much they would charge to do the packaging for me and they told me $13 per box. Maybe that would be the way to go if you are shipping something in the future then they can't come back and say that the packaging was at fault. We live and learn....

hopefully you paid using paypal or credit card. fedex is the worst with shipping. they had been on the news a couple years back with hidden cameras and people just don't understand what in the hell they are doing with our packages.

Ha, very close, those wheels have 32 hole lips, and the caps are screw on, the ones i have are oddly the same but very different, good eye though! I would have thought they were one and the same!

I have a pair of brillantrot or some other type of red.
the clips r kinda broken, but they held up fine. I was going to epoxy the broken clips back on... I will get a photo and pm you asap.
