A friend of mine tried switching the same thing on his iphone 4s from a kit on ebay. Ended up not sitting flush on both sides. End result he had to pay to put his original stuff back on

All you need is a simple cover for the iphone, I have a speck one that my phone survived in during a motorcycle accident. Thats all you need

Chris, all I can say is you pay for what you get for buddy. I have both the 1/2" and 3/8 and I love them.
