What's the difference? If the car passed before, it's still going to pass. If it didn't pass before, it's still not going to pass. It's not like you're taking it in to a government official to have it inspected. It's still an average joe smog shop with a new certification on the wall.Comment

If I'm reading correctly, those certifications were given to them because of their reputability.
I'm translating it to, "they don't mess around".These "STAR" smog check stations have been subjected to our scrutiny in regards to their "STAR" smog check station score and their reputation in their community for outstanding integrity.
I don't know. I'm still worried. I hope it it's just as you say!

It is my understanding that former "Gold Shield" stations are now "STAR" stations. They just changed the name of the program. I don't know if they changed anything else. Perhaps someone who has gone through it can chime in. I have smog due soon but I may non op it anyway. I know they send a bunch of undercovers around so maybe if a station hasn't had any infractions in a certain time period they can keep their special "badge" and therefore make more money. So if your usual smog station was a "gold shield" station then chances are it is now a "star" station.

This whole smog thing is starting to upset me. It's time to get a auto resale license and no-op all the cars or a P.O. box on the indian reservation. What a PITA!

I am going to list up two leather back seats, one black, one tan, both in great shape no center arm rests. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM. Still making the list and taking pictures there's lots of clusters, fuel, and brake stuff not to mention the plastic bits n pieces and over 20 DME's and onboard computers. Terry came by last weekend for the pre-sale sale and got quite a few treasures including the ACS seats. Shant is suppose to come down next Tuesday for 7 heads so he may be able to take some stuff back to LA with him but I'm not sure what he is driving down.
