                        All 88 325/325i/325is/325ix (non M3 and vert) cars were like that.

                              IIRC, verts were always a direct swap regardless of year because of their rear wheel arch. It was the wheel arch that made db to plastic conversion a pita for early models, but verts had always had the same rear wheel arch as the late models. Someone correct me if I'm wrong
