^One can get quite a few repairs on the 8 series for the cost of E90+extended warrenty. Hence why I'd rather buy a classic/vintage vs buying new. Also, E90 is still boring unless M3...still not enough torque for the weight though in it's class.

Comment wasn't really directed towards you. I'd much rather have an 8 as well. I tend to keep on top of my maintenance though. For those who prefer (or need) a turn key, "maintenance free" car, older is not typically better. And an 850 would be a nightmare for that kind of person.
