I'm relatively new to the SD area. where might i find a decent BMW junkyard around lemon grove/chula vista area? i'm assuming that the CPS is a relatively common fix for the problem i'm experiencing? correct me if i am wrong but the CPS is on the Front passenger side of the block near the AC compressor correct?

and just curious but, if i can't audibly hear my fuel pump priming, why would it be the CPS and not the pump?

You can jump the fuel pump relay to check the pump...bad CPS should kill spark to.

If it's the fuel pump, take off the rear seat/cover and tap the fuel pump with a blunt object while cranking. I'm not kidding.

there are 2 relays that look the same under the plastic trim piece near the windshield cowl, the fuel relay is the closest to driver side correct? jump it front to back not side to side right?

There is a caravan starting at the Carlsbad Cars and Coffee that we are going to hit. I have not heard about a Temecula caravan.

Can you guys refresh my memory on something. My fuel gauge isnt accurate (~1/2 tank actually means empty) and I dont want to run it dry, but is it 12.5 gallons for the early models and 14.5 for late models? Ive been filling up around 10 gallons because Im still trying to figure out what kind of mpg the M52 does, which so far has been better than the M20 :)
