Oh ok thanks. Yeah all the internal parts are new so they should be the updated ones. Didn't look like it would of fit anywhere on the guides so hopefully I won't need it cuz I assembled the timing caseComment

Ran into a problem with my camshaft seal ..
It doesn't fit into the guide cover.. Really wierd. Looked at pics of them online and there is a deeper seat , so , i'm stuck here..

The seal is too large? Do you still have the old seal to compare it? You are pressing it all the way in, right?Comment

No the old seal is trashed. And the guide cover seat sits too high for it to go in. And yes i did try pressing it all the way in. Here's a clear comparison.
I want to say PO's 'mechanics' used sealant for the old seal. I got as much off as i could. The old seal basically did not come off in one piece.
