a red late model with BBS wheels...

in other news, Ive been helping my friend get his new-to-him 86 ES up and running with a 2.7i setup. His first drive to work today and he got pulled over  still, Im so happy for him. He's had quite a headache for the last 6 months. This wouldn't have been possible without several r3v members, but most importantly Trey who stepped in and finished the swap for us

My car isn't unique by any standard haha!

Always awesome to get a car on the road after 6 months of work!

Not true! Just because they are commonplace here doesnt mean you see them everywhere on the road. Cars clean, looks good.

Im seriously so happy for my friend though, we were dealing with a horrible shop that dragged this out for so long. Took Trey a few visits and he finished it.

I don't understand why a shop would want to drag out any job...

Am I forgetting someone? I have no idea. We exchanged thumbs up though, didn't recognize the driver... Super clean car though

Agreed. Yours is also super clean and there just aren't that many respectfully clean e30s on the road anymore. So in that sense, very unique. And definitely a classic color, wheel combo. Never gets old.

Anyway, here's the one I bumped into. Anyone?

Long story, but basically they pulled the head off and the car sat for months. He couldve had his car back months ago. He was spending a ton of money having to uber to work and back almost everyday

My steering knuckle looks way different from the on shown in the diy e36 steering rack swap thread.

I wanna get new hoses but I can't seem to find where to get the right set.. and either should I go with oem or silicone ? I've seen the IE silicone hoses tend to leak after a couple hundred miles so I'm leaning towards more on the oem side. Any input ?

Oem. The silicone rad hoses are a gimmick. Oem is cheaper, more durable and of higher quality in my experience.

OEM lasts long. BMA, bluntech, azautohaus... the usual suspects.
I like BMA, they're easy to work with from my many visits.

Been looking at pelican, BMA and autohaus they have all hoses with the URO brand. Should I make the move or keep looking for genuine bmw hoses ?

call them, they have the OEM hoses too. They don't update the website really.
