        Just put in a new fuel pump and the car started and I drove it around the block and I'm ecstatic right now.

            It's not your car - the concrete slabs along that stretch of the 405 got badly buckled in the big 1994 earthquake. CalTrans fixed it somewhat in the following year but it's still pretty bumpy. It causes fits in all of our cars at higher speed. It used to be silky smooth before that earthquake, but it's never been the same since.
