Extending from the injector harness could be the coolant temp wires. Red wire? Well is there anything that doesn't work?

The hood wire is meant to ground the static interference from the radio. The hood is isolated from the body from the hinge bushings, thus a wire is needed to join it to tree body. No, it won't cause any drain.

Hrmm, my gas was indeed very low; the light was even on. The cat is less than 500miles but was sitting on my garage for a year or so so maybe I didn't run through it enough to clean it up?

Anyways, I filled up the tank and put in some fuel system cleaner and changed the fuel filter so hopefully that'll be enough to make it pass. I'll also recheck for some vacuum leaks. Thanks!

By not enough gas, I meant like your injectors not spraying/clogged. Not empty gas tank lol

lolol kinda thought it would be weird if low gas did anything haha but yeah, rebuilt the injectors but didn't get them flow tested.

Had it warmed up for a bit and drove on the freeway and all prior. Used my old cat that passed cat last year and it only has less than 1k miles on it. Gotta check for vacuum leaks again though but yeaah. Had the top end rebuilt and cleaned injector and all so confused why it's failing 😣

Probably vacuum leak causing too lean combustion.

                      Good luck on the diagnosis!

Thanks man! Gonna try to get it smoke tested or ghetto-rig one myself lol. A buddy saw my snapchat story of me smogging it and recommended me a place that could 'help' with the smog possibly so may try that if I get stumped!

I talked to my smog tech and he said vacuum leak or a bad cat. What kinda cat is on the car just a universal cat or one that is specific to your year make and model car?

I agree...check for vacuum leaks first since your car is running pretty lean.

I think once a car fails smog nobody really wants to touch it after .unless they fix it themselves
