Did they take your E30 back as a core for a E36 or whatever?

I just went there and found exactly what I was looking for in less than one minute. Is this 4 reel?

Pretty straight forward to navigate through the site.

        Are the z4 racks 3.2 or 3.0?

I too bought a rack from them (an e36) and yes they wanted the e30 rack sent back.

I always add this comment to anyone who's thinking about it.....don't buy an e36 rack. It's nearly as slow as the 30. Do what Charlie did and grab an e46. I dunno about the Z racks though, haven't heard from someone running one.

I have a e36 bought from rack doctor. Pretty good for the money. I don't race so it doesn't matter how fast it turns bit it was an improvement over the stock rack.

                wat

The E36 rack is noticeably quicker than the E30 rack, and is a great compromise for a dual purpose car.

Quicker yea, but I didn't feel like it was THAT great. Actually upgraded to the e46 330 rack shortly after I did the e36 rack. Love it to death for everything.

They're probably sold separately like that because there are "differences" between them. They may be internally the same but some cosmetic/body changes. You just gotta do some homework to figure out exactly what you want. Alternatively I'm sure you can call and ask, I've seen the business owner post clarifying info from time to time. He knows whats up.

All I know is that when we were doing a little "hand location" practice on the skid pad my arms were getting crossed up big time and know I will need something faster for the future, and with no power steering I'm going to use the Z4 since it seems to be the best non power steering rack

Anyone know if you buy a new BMW badge for the e30, will it come with new rubbers to mount the badge in?
                              Or
Should I try and salvage the ones that are on my trunk and hood?

No those are separate from the dealer unless it's a kit. I just reuse them with a dab of Silicone to balance and hold the badge. Is no big deal
