Woah, ok strange update.


The car was found in Whittier, with the two thieves still in it! They were promptly arrested and the car was towed. We will see what shape it's in.

That sucks !! Glad they found it and you will get it back. My first car was a 1969 chevelle SS396,i had it 5 months in 1988 and someone stole it. Never recovered / Never found. :(:(:(:(:(

I need a place to vent for a second. This is partial speculation, but I don't care right now.

Background: We (wife/kids) live in a "decent" neighborhood in Garden Grove. The area has slowly seen an influx of mini "mcmansion" homes, and everyone is friendly enough.

Is that by lampson and gilbert?

Yep, off Lampson, in that general area. Crazy to see the housing/lots sell for 400k and then buldozed in favor of a gigantic house with no yard. You are right on the apartment people, definitely knocks things down a tick.

Pretty excited they caught the guys. Apparently I can't get the car back quite yet, be interesting to see how trashed the interior is. I will see if I can get mug shots or any further info on the perps. Hope I'm wrong about the kid being involved.

When I was young I got many cars stolen. I had an 84 Supra that was stolen 7 months after I got it, it was stripped down to nothing in 2 days. It was so bad that when I went to the impound I could not even recognize the skeleton. I also had an 84 Monte Carlo SS that was stolen 3 times, they found it twice within hours and they did not have time to do anything to it. However the 3rd time it was stolen they stripped the front end, engine and tranny, trunk and interior. Pretty much left the wheels and carpet. The one that hurt me the most is my 62 Nova convertible, that one they never found. Till this day I miss that car. Anyhow, I guess that's life in South Central Los Angeles.

Quick question guys I was driving on the freeway and the e30 suddenly stalled out when in heavy traffic. It didn't over heat and it doesn't need gas either. There's a diffenent loss of power at speed. It's automatic so I honestly have no idea what's going on.

Anyhow, I guess that's life in South Central Los Angeles.

This is the main reason the E30 stays in the garage and the daily will have to get parked outside.
