Just failed smog with the e28, can anyone help me out or suggest something?
Everything was replaced for the m30 b35 swap (spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor/cap, fuel pump etc) but the o2 sensor, which came from the junkyard.
Cat was replaced Summer of 2011
Not sure why the measurements for the o2 was 0. Usually I always have a problem with Nox but never with the o2%,HC, or CO.
Now I'm a gross polluter too
Any advice would be appreciated.

I think that others here can better explain your next step but I wanted to say that I don't think that you are tagged until you hit gross polluter two times in a row. I got it on one of my cars but the second time I passed. I have had no issues since then and am not considered a gross polluter. At least by the DMV. The key is next time you try do a pre-smog check without being hooked up to Sacramento. If no one else can help I will look back at my notes on smog and let you know what I have regarding passing.
