So I go to install the H7 Morimoto's that are so highly regarded on the forums and the damn things don't fit securely in the bulb holders...the base of the bulbs are too thin OR perhaps the base of the DDM bulbs are too thick? Anyway, I had to shim the Morimoto's to fit without moving around. I also noticed they are shorter than the DDM's. Anyone else notice this??? I will see how good they are tonight.

No, they are H7 bulbs 4300K with metal bases but the base is roughly 1/4 the thickness. Either the DDM's I had in there were too thick and I made them fit or these are too thin. Not a huge deal, just some observations.
