Go be baller and get a matching peice of wood then make it a pop out when you push it in type deal. It looks out of place on such a dated interior but it does look like a clean install regardless, kudos.

My modded S14 revs faster, is lighter and pulls just as hard if not harder in the top end. I maintain that I prefer this swap in a non M3 chassis though. I'd do it to a 318/325 in a heartbeat but not the M3.
It's funny you mention this. When I drove Wills S50 e30 I was impressed on how fast it was. It had 2.93 gearing.

A few weeks later I drove the one I currently have (s52 OBD-1) with 3.23 gearing and it feels SHIT tons faster than the S50.

Perhaps the one you drove had tall gearing? Then again a lot of people tell me that the build I have feels much faster but I have NO reference point since I have only driven Will's E30 and My own.

Try diving an eta than you will know what slow is that's a reference point

My eta wasn't exactly slow, even when it was 2.93. With a head swap and 3.73 I could spin second.

That car was something like 12 years and 85k on a timing belt when I bought it.
