Got a thumbs up from a COP today. WTF? I got scared when he started pacing me, then was pleasantly greeted with a smile and thumbs up. Guess my hunk of shit isn't all that bad.

hahaha, reminds me of the time the cop shined his light into my car when i had the hood open and was reving the piss out of the m3 because i had smelled burning oil (wasn't me, but smelt it), and he told me it sounded great and left. lol. my car isn't exactly quiet.

Unfortunately both yards, in the valley and wilmington, have a couple of groups of vultures picking them clean of anything good. I know the yards in the OC also have look outs for anything e30 related.
Sucks but, the days of our cars being easy to fix with yard parts may soon be over. We must all start becoming hoarders. :-x

Hit or miss. They get picked daily by the locals...i havnt been for a few months tho.

That day has long past. Probably best time was back when I popped in the scene. Hoards of e30s packed in the yards. Easy picking between 3-4 of the same part.

The yard out here in Lancaster has a few untouched e30s. I check last week. Late alpine with a straight valence & ellips with a busted drivers lense. Can't remember the rest of e30s, but there a good handful untouched.

its mostly miss. Im pretty local to Wilmington and used to go religiously just to see incase there was anything good. After many dry runs, I just got tired of going unless I needed something in particular. There can be scores here and there but that's kinda rare especially if you only go to one or two yards. One time big PYP Wilmington only had 2 e30's in the entire place. Coupe king or some bmw shops must be scouring the Wilmington yards. Very hard to find goodies, unless the car just dropped.

Truth, probably when I first got on to the scene is when yarding was at it's finest.

At hillside there is a bavaria that is in really good shape. i think my brother said it still had everything on it. the yard said they would let it go for like $1200. and then $25 for every car they have to move to get it out. problem is that its at the end of a row, so you would be paying a few bucks just to move it.

im going to be in the bay area, silcon valley and will check the yards there for stuff.
I am looking to buy a hartge or m tech 1 spoiler, when i find one you can have my IS one for $20 bucks.

like i said at the meet, Im in if you guys are down to go the the HD for a day I will take the truck, and most of my tools.

i remember one time a few years ago rob and i found 13 late models at big wilmington and carted a full F150 longbed of stuff for $350. those were the days.

Check out the alpine spoiler. It's like the e30 mtech 1 but is as wide as the e28
