If you're taking the 5, stay in the left lane as much as possible. I mean if someone's faster than yea move over but if its all clear, stay left. The right lane surface is completely fucked from the big rigs and your car will hate you if you drive there.

I dont know what your set up is like, but I have about a 2.5-3 inch clearance sitting on a static set up. Didnt have any clearance/scraping issues but the bumps were just hell. Oh and If you end up needing to exit for gas, rest or food, The road in those little towns are even worse xD good luck!Comment

^^last year i drove up to B-fest with about 1in of clearance. hit a transition in the road and got a lil airborn with the skid plate. i actually felt the car slow down like 5 mph. pretty scary, but no worries when you have a plate. the side roads were not nice/ just make sure you are plated.
e28 B-caps look okay on the e30? sucks that they are still 14's though-FREEDOM- is cruisin at 80, windows down and listening to the perfect song-thinking "this is it"

Driving home from e30Picnic last year I hit two really poor bridge transitions in the middle of the night going 80mph on the I5 south with poor visibility.
The second hit I was following a big rig and had no warning and we def caught air. I pulled over and checked my wheels which were fine and that surprised me immensely. I got home later only to notice one wheel had a bit more camber than the other. When I bottomed out the force was strong enough to bend the bottom of my drivers e30 M3 strut tube where it meets the knuckle and the strut tower. The H&R race springs and aged bili sports couldn't handle the weight of the s52.
Style 32's are strong wheels though.Comment

I went to the Sheriff's Dept. to sign off my mother's brake light infraction and this is the second time they sign it off without even checking.
So if any of you mugs have any exhaust infraction tickets and don't want to change your sweet setup, just go and see what happens.
Worse case scenario if they come out and say lolno, just say Ok the mechanic lied to me saying it was fine or something, and come back.
Worth a shot I guess considering a friend of mine was let go in the same manner for one.Comment
