Lol im fine where im at atm My rent is cheap and hasnt gone up since ive moved in. Mortgage payments on a house out here will be about double what i pay now. However, I do plan on it once I have better funds and my 2nd half puts in.

Actually thats not true, mortgage means the same thing in french...its meaning is derived from two latin words, mort (death) and gage (pledge)

Ive heard right now is a good selling point because its soon going to drop again. Maybe by the time it hits rock bottom i'll start looking.

It will because most people already have that mind set so it prevents any stability in the real estate market. Rates go up forcing people out of a buying option leaving us back at square one. You are right though if that mindset doesn't change my initial prediction of in a few years time we'll be back in to another recession will prove true.

Good luck whomever the next president will be. They're going to have to deal with inflation of our dollar compared to the worlds currencies on a scale that makes germany and japan post WW2 look more valuable than monopoly money. Plus the euro zone will still be in be special and coupled with China's economy in flux.

Commercial real estate trends are a bit different then Residential as there is more stability in market prices. but the owners do change hands a bit more frequently. Before China it was a mix of european and Japanse conglomerate's that owned Downtown LA.

China is trying to move outward to deal with it's own rapid expansion. Just look at their automotive market. The number of vehicles on their roads went from like 100,000 to 500,000 in a matter of a couple of years and is still growing at an alarming rate...Although a 335Li sounds kind of boss :rofl:
