Only get a lawyer if you are hurt. no lawyer will take your case for just property damage. there is no money in it for them.

If its only property damage use the California Dept of Insurance as you ultimate threat. insurance companies fear them more than lawyers.

Claimants threaten DOI all the time. It's not scary unless they're actually breaking policy....which is unlikely.

Insurance company claims adjusters are overworked underpaid drones, they break policy all the time. lol.
I worked litigation for one of the countrys biggest insurance legal firms for a few years, keeping insurance company asses out of the sling in a full time job
