That happened to me once. I forgot to torque the wheels down. Never forget the moment I watched my wheel roll past me  ahh to be young again

well whats your goal with the car? Street? Auto-x/street? Track?

If your running GC for street then 300-375/475 is stiff enough. That's equivalent to 6k/8k.

Yea I think I'm going to go 6kg(335lb/in) and 8kg(450lb/in) I could probably handle stiffer but my other car is a Chevy ii ratrod and chicks don't exactly love the whole "loud, rusty, I can see the road through the floor pan" style of the car so the e30 can't be to uncomfortable lol

I'm running 500/700. After I got my shock situation figured out, I really like it.

No need to properly torque. Just properly tighten.

I've literally never used a torque wrench on one lug nut or lug bolt and trust me I've swapped a LOT of wheels in my time.

But you are the master. The kids just starting out should use a torque wrench because it seems they do not have a clue what is too tight or not tight enough.

                          Cheers,

Yes! I should get one but I've taken my wheels off and on before with no problems what so ever. I guess the shop just over tightened them.

Ive watched mexicali tires blast lugs on with impact guns. Seen a bunch of those lugs break also.
