You guys think a fan clutch can go bad after one year of use?
It was new, has like a year of use on it . I stopped the fan with my fingers after an hour of driving.

Yes. My brother and I bought the same fan clutch almost a year ago and mine is considerably weaker than his as of right now.
His will nearly blow your hair upwards at idle and mine won't.

I just realized that I forgot a word, and you misspelled a word. I guess we're even now.

Also, I apologize for using foul language. You deserve better.

Hit up target, walmart or toys r us too, they should have something cheaper for you.
The range ends up sucking sometimes anyways, brand makes no difference and......., unless you're going on a covert operation, you don't need longer than 2 miles range.

I don't even care about the range; I'm just told Motorola is the most recommended unit. The praise for clarity and reliability is high. What do you have Ed?

The problem with breaks/lunches is the state and:or union mandates you take them before a specified time. If you have 5 people that come in at the same time, they have to send you to break earlier, in order to not be penalized by the state and/or union. Plus most companies are trying to make managers work with a minimal amount of hours, so that throws things in to a tail spin too. Best thing to do is A. Get a better job, B. Move to a different state, or C. Work for yourself.

Depends on how hot your engine bay is. Number one killer of thermostatic fans is heat. You could have just got a shitty fan clutch too. You may have a warranty on it.

It's only 10 minutes, so I don't see anything wrong with overlapping breaks.

I'm not even sure what brand it was, think it was a behr. I bought it from bma. Just to piss myself off I stuck a piece of paper in it and it stopped the fan. Once the fan was stopped I just left the paper in there and the fan wouldn't spin on its own. Garbage
