Which is the smallest brake booster of these?
Suzuki swift
Golf mk2
Renault clio
Audi 1.8t
944
Or is there something smaller? Future engine swap and looking for clearance.

I'm guessing the Renault or the Suzuki. Don't think the others are much smaller or equal to the 944

Yes. The smaller the brake booster, the more clearance is given to the neighboring parts (intake manifold, etc).

I used the iX booster because I wanted an OEM part on my car. I dont like the idea of rethreading things associated with the braking system

Lol, c'mon Simon, that's no excuse. I'm pretty satisfied with the 944 booster, a little soft at times but almost stick feel, when bled correctly.
