Got a red light camera ticket in the daily bitch. Can these be beat. I did some searching online and it seems like a much smaller fee than the ticket themselves gives you a good chance. Of course its a $100 gamble and if I lose I still have a $500 ticket to deal with.

Here in san diego we have a service known as mr ticket. Friend got out of a 4-ticket pickle .which if he lost its a $1800 fine and wouldve lost his license. I'd find something similar in la county

Hmm I don't know the credibility of this video. As long as the timing marks are aligned and you install the belt without moving them, you're fine with installing the tensioner last. Once you do, spin the engine by hand a few times to ensure the timing marks are still aligned. I'm speaking for the m20; I don't know if/how the others could be different.

I should do the tensioner last, the fxxcking crank keeps moving when i finish up tightening the tensioner bolts. The cam sprocket stays put though.

Who here has any body shop experience in Burbank/Glendale/la area. I might be getting my whole car repainted soon. Nothing special just the same alpine but i want a dead on job, not something that will look good from 17 feet away.

I "got" one in Culver City. Never received any correspondence. I ignored it. Never heard since.

Thats the other thing I read a lot about. If you dont go to court and ignore it you are fine unless you end up in that same court on another matter...

in other news: just sent money to a friend who parted out his car and has a brand new OEM iS lip. Hooray for dealz

Unless you get it in the mail and there is certified proof, then you are on the hook. Including if you received something and looked at the URL it mentions. Or called them back to get a court date.

The court that was handling them then was LA Superior. Which no longer cares.

Basically that ticket stays in limbo, does not go to DMV or does it stay in the system.

I read it may go to collections, its been over 4yrs and I am still in the clear.

Didnt know, didnt get anything in the mail, thats the story.

Ways to stop crank from moving while tightening timing belt? Very annoying
