Just buy a Bosch voltage regulator and be done with it. It should do the trick.Don't buy any other brand.

Check and make sure all your ground strap points are clean too.

There's a brown and green wire that comes from the injector harness under the intake, it's really long and cut off at the end. There's also a red wire under the fuse box that shorted out and burned through it's casing. Does anyone know what either of these are?

My grounds are clean , all except the one that goes on the hood has been replaced. And actually.. That one wasn't connected :o , will that really drain the battery though?

Welp, my car didn't pass smog due to high NOx. What normally causes this? Car running too lean?

I need to see the entire report but high NOx is typically caused by an inefficient (cold or bad) cat and/or a lean mixture perhaps due to vacuum leaks.
